Nexus to Humanity is a Ugandan-registered engineering Not for profit delivering civil works and sustainable infrastructure solutions that transform underserved communities. Our expertise spans pedestrian footbridges, box culverts, classroom blocks, and health facility upgrades, built to improve access, safety, and resilience.

We are also specialists in water supply systems, ranging from point water sources such as boreholes and protected springs to gravity flow schemes and fully motorized distribution networks serving communities, schools, and health centers. These systems are designed for year-round reliability, climate resilience, and ease of maintenance.

In addition, we have a niche in renewable energy, providing solar-powered irrigation, off-grid solar lighting, and hybrid energy solutions that expand productivity, safety, and connectivity in rural areas.

Our expertise covers the full project lifecycle:

Community-led assessments to understand needs and priorities

Technical surveys including topographical mapping, hydrological studies, and geotechnical investigations

Detailed design from hydraulic and structural calculations to CAD drafting and Bill of Quantities preparation

Stakeholder engagement with local governments, ministries, and development partners

On-site implementation with our skilled engineering team supported by trained local labor, ensuring community ownership and sustainability

We pride ourselves on delivering infrastructure that lasts, combining engineering excellence with capacity building, renewable energy integration, and climate resilience planning.

How We Measure What Matters

At Nexus to Humanity, impact is not an assumption; it’s verified. Our Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) system uses digital data collection tools, dashboards, and real-time analytics to track outcomes that matter, from household water reliability to energy access and community resilience.

We work with partners to:

Use Data Intelligently: Employ digital tools like KoboToolbox and Power BI to track performance and visualize impact.

Build Local Capacity: Equip communities with maintenance and management skills for long-term sustainability.

Integrate Safeguards: Ensure environmental, social, and gender equity principles guide every design and delivery.
