About

Eng. James Mabaale is a Registered Engineer with the Engineers Registration Board of Uganda
and a Corporate Member of the Uganda Institution of Professional Engineers (UIPE). He has
over seven years of experience in structural design, supervision, and quality control of major
building and infrastructure projects.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Makerere University and is currently
pursuing a Master of Science in Civil Engineering at Liverpool John Moores University, UK. His
professional development includes specialized training in structural audits, earthquake
engineering, post-tensioned foundations, computational modelling, and structural failure
analysis.

James serves as a Structural Engineer with Nexus to Humanity and at N2H Consult Limited,
where he contributes to delivering sustainable infrastructure projects that improve community
well-being. He brings extensive consultancy and project management expertise.
Previously, he served as Project Engineer and later Head of the Design and Construction
Department at Armstrong Consulting Engineers, where he also chaired the SHEQ Committee
and led the development of the company’s Quality Assurance and Quality Control Manual.
He has contributed to landmark projects such as the restoration of the Makerere University Main
Building, Entebbe International Airport Terminal structural integrity assessments, the Kampala
Serena Hotel Conference Center modification, health facility upgrades under the Ministry of
Health, and large-scale commercial and residential developments. His portfolio also includes
technical audits, office complexes, shopping malls, educational facilities, religious buildings, and
research on structural integrity and earthquake resistance in Uganda
