About

Norman Okwor is an Architect, Urban Planner, and Project Manager with experience in
designing and supervising sustainable building and community infrastructure projects across
Uganda. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Kyambogo University and a
Diploma in Architecture from Uganda Technical College, Bushenyi.

Norman has contributed to a wide range of projects, including educational facilities, health
centers, residential housing, churches, and commercial developments. His portfolio includes the
Masuulita Vocational Centre & Orphanage, the Hope & Healing Hospital in Iganga, Afripads
Factory in Masaka, Odek and Tumangu community health centers in Northern Uganda, and
several school and housing developments in Kampala and upcountry regions. His work has
emphasized climate-adaptive designs, affordable housing, and community-centered facilities
He has also been engaged in urban development consultancies such as the Nabweru Slum
Upgrade Climate Adaptation Strategy in Nansana, supported by the United States African
Development Foundation. Through these initiatives, he has advanced sustainable planning
approaches that address the needs of low-income families and vulnerable communities.
Currently, Norman serves as an Architect with Nexus to Humanity, where he applies his skills to
community-driven infrastructure projects, and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to
deliver innovative, resilient, and affordable design solutions. His experience working with
organizations like Studio Flame and Town Build has equipped him with strong technical,
creative, and project management capabilities, making him a valuable contributor to projects that
transform lives through architecture and planning
